Maine Legislature Committee Hearing Schedule 2/25/25 – 2/28/25

Lots of Bills Scheduled this Week

One way to stay on top of what’s happening in Augusta is through the Legislative Committee schedules. Attending a public hearing is a great way to learn about a bill that’s being presented. You can offer testimony for or against the bill (or neither for nor against), or just sit in the room and learn about how the process works. Work sessions are also public, but is not meant for public testimony. Work sessions are for the committee to learn details about the bill being presented, what it may cost to implement, and reasons why the bill should be enacted (or reasons why it shouldn’t). Again, sitting in the room is a great way to learn the process, and it gives you a chance to meet elected representatives, other Maine residents, and the lobbyists who are paid to be in Augusta.

Here’s a list of all the bills scheduled for either a public hearing or a work session just this week (2/25/25 – 2/28/25). You can click on a bill to learn more. Also, be aware that schedules can and do change. This list is sorted by committee.

See you in Augusta!
